Drive direct revenue as the primary face of Bagason in the trade — visiting your route, capturing every order in Odoo, managing in-store presence, and owning collections and on-time settlement.
Responsibilities
- Visit your route and log every visit in Odoo
- Capture accurate orders — right pricelist, customer and lots
- Maintain the customer master and flag changes
- Collect overdue payments and reconcile the ledger
- Process returns through the Sales Return module
Must Have

4. Day-to-Day Odoo Workflow
Bagason runs end-to-end on Odoo 18 across three legal entities. This role operates inside the system every working day:
- Sales / Quotations — Create the quote on customer visit; convert to Sales Order on confirmation. Mandatory: customer, pricelist, payment terms, delivery date.
- VanSales POS — For routes selling from a stocked van: log in to today's session, sell, settle cash via POS Bank Deposit at end of day.
- Sales Return module (bagason_sales_return) — All customer returns go here with structured Return Reason, invoice match, and lot return — never as ad-hoc credit notes.
- Customer record — Update contact, VAT, address. Credit limit changes are NOT self-service — request via Sales Manager and approvals_bagason.
- Trade Agreements (bagason_trade_agreements) — Read-only: confirm the customer's active BDA, claim mode, and entitlement before negotiating any incremental discount.
- Pricelists — Use the customer's assigned pricelist exactly as published. Off-pricelist deals must be approved by Sales Manager in advance.
5. Compliance Gates & Controls
The following system-enforced controls apply to this role. Bypassing or working around them is treated as a breach of the Code of Conduct.
- Credit limit (bagason_credit_control): If a customer is at or over their limit, Odoo will block SO confirmation. Do not call the customer to 'arrange a workaround' — request a limit increase via the approval workflow.
- 90% soft-warn: Salesman is shown a soft warning when the customer crosses 90% of their credit limit. Continue the order but flag the AR situation to the Sales Manager same day.
- Backdating control (bagason_backdated_control): Sales Orders cannot be dated more than 15 days in the past without an approvals_bagason ticket and Jeevan/Suraj sign-off.
- Cash custody: All cash collected must be deposited via POS Bank Deposit the same day. Cash variance is investigated through the daily autobooks audit.
- Return Reason discipline: Every customer return must have a structured Return Reason — 'as per discussion' is not acceptable and is rejected by the system.
6. KPIs & Success Metrics
All KPIs below are pulled from Odoo reports and dashboards — no manual spreadsheets.
- Monthly net sales (AED) vs target — Sales Analysis report, filtered by salesperson
- Strike rate — % of visits that result in a confirmed SO, from visit log
- Weighted distribution — % of must-stock SKUs sold to each customer over rolling 30 days
- DSO of assigned ledger — Aged Receivable report, by salesperson
- Returns rate % — Sales Return analytics, by salesperson
- Credit-limit-block events per month (target: zero, indicates planning quality)
7. Competencies
Behavioural: Resilience, customer empathy, negotiation, ownership of outcomes, integrity in cash handling.
Technical: UAE driving licence; comfortable using Odoo Sales / VanSales POS daily on a phone or tablet; basic Excel; English (Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Malayalam an advantage).
8. Working Conditions
Field-based, six days per week, daily route 8–10 hours including driving in UAE traffic and warehouse pickups. Company van or shared van assigned. Fasting-month timings during Ramadan as per UAE Labour Law.
